Analysis of Chemical Components of Fine Particulate Matter Observed at Fukuoka, Japan, in Spring 2020 and Their Transport Paths

Focusing on the components of fine particulate matter, i.e., PM2.5, we have analyzed factors that led to high concentrations each chemical component in PM2.5 during our observations Fukuoka, Japan spring 2020. The backward trajectory showed air masses reached Fukuoka via Yellow Sea and southern part South Korea when were concentrations. On other hand, diurnal variations ozone also observed, suggesting both transboundary local pollution are involved. Air Kyushu region only sulfate high. A volcano eruption concentration. When polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) high, often northern Kyushu, indicating there may be a specific source for PAHs.
